Classes and Clinics Registration

New STARs register here for Assistant Referee (USSF Grade 12) training in Maryland.  Use the form at the bottom of this page. 

For additional clinics and classes in Maryland, DC, and Virginia, register as described on the websites of the State Referee Programs.

You must be age 18 or older by September 6, 2008, to serve as a STAR.

Fall 2008 Classes are available for new and returning referees.  These classes will provide the Assistant Referee (USSF Grade 12) certification needed to serve as a STAR.  All training is conducted by the State Referee Programs of Maryland and DC/Virginia.  STARs may also choose to certify as Recreational Referees (USSF Grade 9) or Referees (USSF Grade 8).  Information on Grade 9 and Grade 8 classes is available on the State Referee Program websites:

The registration form for classes in Maryland for Assistant Referees (USSF Grade 12) is at the bottom of this page.  For all other classes and clinics, please register as described on the State Referee Program websites.

New Grade 12 referee classes are scheduled for 8 hours, but may run shorter or longer if needed.  Most instructors allow for a working lunch instead of a break.

STARs may attend referee classes in Maryland or Virginia regardless of where they live or where their team is registered.

Cost for the USSF Grade 12 class in Maryland for new and recertifying referees is $65, payable by check at the beginning of class.
